CARES: Clinical Assessment and Risk Evaluation of Suicide

The CARES research project aims to create a medical software prototype that provides healthcare professionals with automatic alerts for heightened suicide risk among patients presenting at the emergency department for non-psychiatric reasons. The project aims to guarantee the usability, feasibility, and acceptability of the medical software among all end-users, ensuring an optimal integration in existing healthcare infrastructure and information systems, minimizing disruption to daily clinical workflows.

RECIPROC

RECIPROC

The RECIPROC project aims to translate findings from population- and clinical epidemiological suicide research into decision aid tools that assist healthcare professionals with the early detection of suicide risk as well as with the delivery of personalized and evidence-based suicide prevention interventions. To achieve this, implementation research with end-users is crucial, and will consist of qualitative-quantitative assessment of unmet treatment needs among patients with lived experience as well as feasibility assessment of digital tool prototypes in artificial clinical settings.
